Job summary

Franklin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain the community's buildings and grounds. You will diagnose problems and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities include responding to resident work orders, preparing vacant units, maintaining tools and supplies, and upholding company policies and a professional appearance. On-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience or training.
• HVAC certification preferred; CAMT recommended; Fair Housing Certification due within 14 days.
• Must be able to read safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Physical ability to lift 25–60 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• On-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repairs.
• Respond to resident work orders and notify management on completion.
• Inspect and maintain the community while keeping work area clean and tools/equipment in good condition.
• Prepare vacant units with routine punch prior to occupancy.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and company tools.
• Follow OSHA standards and safety policies at all times.
