Job summary

Post Road Management in Wichita, KS (STRATFORD EAST) is seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining high-quality living spaces for residents and solving problems promptly.

You will perform carpentry, repairs, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing tasks, handle turnover work, inspections, emergency response on a rotating schedule, and coordinate with residents and vendors to keep properties in top condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in property maintenance; HVAC experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work overhead.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Wichita, KS.

Responsibilities

• General Carpentry: drywall repairs, cabinet/countertop replacements, finish carpentry, glass/window repairs, door servicing, tile repairs.
• Maintenance & Repairs: electrical, plumbing, appliance troubleshooting, flooring, painting, HVAC (non-licensed).
• Turnover & Project Support: assist with work orders, unit repaints, re-carpeting, apartment turnovers.
• Property Inspections: routine inspections to identify needs.
• Emergency Response: rotating after-hours maintenance.
• Preventive Maintenance: scheduled tasks for longevity and safety of systems.
• Stakeholder Interaction: maintain relationships with residents, vendors, contractors, city officials.
• Work Order Management: track, prioritize, and complete orders; inform parties.
• Communication: respond promptly to emails; liaise with property manager.
