Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance who supports the maintenance supervisor and helps keep the property in top condition. You will work closely with the leasing team to enhance renewals and leasing opportunities while prioritizing safety and compliance with Valiant Residential policies.

Responsibilities include handling service requests with a 24-hour target, scheduling on-call coverage, and performing routine electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance maintenance.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Manage system for service requests and on-call rotation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and laws (ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA).
• Assist in distributing flyers and materials.
• Maintain safety materials and inspect property for unsafe conditions.
• Record preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacant apartments.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect tools.
