Job summary

Avenue5 Residential on Mercer Island is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address apartment and property maintenance while delivering exceptional resident service. You will help maintain curb appeal and safety across the property.

Responsibilities include repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds; perform proactive maintenance; manage work orders; and respond to emergencies, collaborating with residents and the property team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Address apartment and property maintenance duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Conduct proactive preventative maintenance (siding, painting, lighting, etc.).
• Maintain work orders and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with property emergencies and on-call maintenance.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
