Job summary

RHP Properties in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Havenwood community to perform grounds care, basic home repairs, and general maintenance tasks. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with duties including completing work orders, keeping common areas well maintained, and assisting with refurbishments as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC and carpentry.
• May need to provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
• Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely manner.
• Promote goodwill by courteous interactions with residents and visitors.
• Identify deficiencies and take corrective action with manager approval.
• Maintain community grounds: mow, trim shrubs, plant flowers, spread mulch and rake leaves.
• Remove garbage from grounds and resident sites as needed.
• Perform regular inventories of maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Maintain orderly garages and storage areas.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
• Remain available for on-call duties as needed.
• Participate in refurbishing community-owned homes.
• Perform repairs to water and sewer lines.
