Job summary

RHP Properties in Jackson, MI seeks a Maintenance Technician for the Sherman Oaks community to perform general grounds maintenance and basic repairs to homes owned by the community. This full-time role involves handling work orders, lawn care, safety compliance, and on-call availability, with emphasis on resident and employee courtesy.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to provide your own

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have a valid operator’s license and a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry is required.
• May need to provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
• Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager in a timely manner.
• Promote courtesy and safety when interacting with residents and staff.
• Maintain grounds and perform lawn care, weed control, and seasonal landscaping.
• Assist with refuse disposal and light repair tasks as needed.
• Operate and maintain maintenance equipment and report needs.
