Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Service Technician to maintain buildings, grounds, and amenities, ensuring safety and cleanliness. The role includes completing work orders, making-ready vacant units, inventory control, and accurate documentation.

Requires EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal), state/local credentials, and a valid driver’s license. Position is on-site in Charlottesville with potential travel and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (applies to certified service technicians)
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (applies to all Service Technicians)
• Valid driver’s license to operate golf cart on property depending on property size (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials from the maintenance department; tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor for re-orders.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Assists in grounds and amenity upkeep by trash pickup, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts and using tools/equipment correctly.
