Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work keeping the property's buildings, grounds, and amenities safe, clean, and functional.

You will diagnose issues, complete make-ready tasks for new residents, manage supplies, document work orders, and support safety programs while working a flexible schedule.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least two years in property maintenance, EPA refrigerant certifications, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• 2 years minimum experience in property maintenance or related trade.
• May hold HVAC certifications and licenses.
• Proactive and self-motivated with ability to work independently or as a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs per safety standards.
• Make-ready process for vacant apartments, including punch list and scheduling vendors.
• Track inventory, manage materials, and return unused items to storage.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist with cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-saving by repairing parts rather than replacing when possible.
• Attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.
• Inspect contractor work for quality and compliance.
• Communicate property needs to management and assist in routine inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
