Volunteers of America Texas is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician for Espero at Rutland in Austin, TX. The role requires performing repairs on PTAC units, electrical and plumbing tasks, carpentry and painting, plus upkeep of work orders and records.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with maintenance experience, or a related vocational certificate. A valid Texas driver’s license and insurance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant maintenance experience.
• Certificate from a maintenance trade or vocational school or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and service work on air conditioners, including PTAC units.
• Carry out electrical and minor plumbing repairs inside and outside units.
• Perform carpentry, flooring repairs and interior/exterior painting as needed.
• Repair windows, doors, and related components and maintain paperwork on forms and work orders.
• Work independently and bring own tools; maintain logbooks and move-out/work-order records.
