Job summary

VOA TEXAS in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform repair and service work on HVAC and electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general property upkeep. You will handle move-outs, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with related maintenance experience and a Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with one year in maintenance or relevant trade experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with clear MVR.
• Ability to provide own tools for daily work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service air conditioners, primarily PTAC units.
• Perform electrical repairs inside and outside units (breakers, outlets, switches, lighting).
• Conduct various plumbing repairs as needed.
• Address structural repairs including carpentry, door work, and flooring.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces as required.
• Repair windows, screens and doors as needed.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork promptly.
• Work independently and bring your own tools to jobs.
• Maintain a logbook of daily accomplishments and preventive maintenance.
