Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for Avana Matthews in Matthews, NC. You will perform technical and mechanical tasks to ensure buildings, grounds, and amenities meet our high standards for cleanliness, safety, and functioning.

You will handle work orders, oversee the make-ready process for vacant units, inspect contractors, manage supplies, and support budgeting and safety compliance, delivering excellent service to residents while upholding Greystar standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled with hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine community upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees and completes make-ready processes to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and scheduling of vendors.
• Sets standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, signage, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work by team members to assess policy effectiveness and plan corrective actions.
• Inspects work by contractors to verify quality, scope, and specifications.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials; coordinates with Community Manager on supplies within budget.
