Job summary

Greystar in Durham, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work to keep the community clean, safe, and functional. You will handle work orders, make-ready tasks, and preventive maintenance while upholding Greystar standards.

You will inspect, repair, and maintain grounds, exteriors, interiors, and equipment, coordinate with vendors, manage inventory, and support budget goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management.
• Proficiency in internet, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversees make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing by inspecting, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and completing maintenance tasks.
• Maintains standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work by others and contractors to ensure quality and compliance with policies and budgets.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and tools and supports budgeting and cost-control measures.
