Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure indoor and community spaces meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will diagnose repairs, handle resident work orders, and assist with make-ready tasks for move-ins.

The role requires hands-on experience in property maintenance, tool use, and strong customer service. You will coordinate with vendors, support budgeting for repairs, and uphold Greystar safety policies across all areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts, respond courteously to questions and requests, and stay calm when addressing and resolving customer problems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues from resident requests.
• Oversee and complete the “make-ready” process for vacant homes and move-ins, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment and assist in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
