Job summary

Greystar in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

You will respond to work orders, coordinate make-ready tasks, inspect completed work, manage tools and parts, assist in budget planning, and uphold safety policies. The role requires high school diploma and EPA HVAC certifications, plus customer service skills and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trades.
• Must provide own hand tools and be skilled in safe use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management, interact with residents and staff.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs and property management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes on work orders and routine upkeep, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Oversees make-ready process for new move-ins, schedules vendors, and inspects completed work.
• Sets and maintains standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Inspects work of team members and contractors; adjusts procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and tools; assists Community Manager with budget and cost-control.
