Job summary

Gables seeks a maintenance supervisor to support the service manager with technical tasks, safety training, and staff development across our properties. You will assist in recruiting, scheduling, and coordinating upkeep to ensure reliable operations and curb appeal.

You will oversee repairs, ensure timely service requests are completed, and help manage inventory and vendor coordination to maintain high property standards.

Qualifications

• No specific level of education is required.
• Ability to read and write English for safety and productivity reasons.
• Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist service manager with providing technical skills and training to service team.
• Teach and promote safe work practices and safety compliance.
• Attend and participate in technical training programs to maintain personal skill level.
• Assist service manager with staff recruitment, hiring, promotions and terminations.
• Communicate professionally and delegate effectively with staff members.
• Assist with budgeting, purchasing and inventory control for maintenance supplies.
• Prepare staffing schedules consistent with property needs under supervision of service manager.
• Oversee turnkey operations and ensure vacant units are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area; uphold safety standards.
