Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the property’s buildings meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, completing the make-ready process for vacant homes, inventory management, and documenting service activities. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required for this role, with on-site duties and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications are required.
• State and local certifications as required for all Service Technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the size of the property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, and coordinating vendors.
• Follows procedures to obtain materials, tracks inventory, and notifies the supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools correctly.
• Complies with safety policies by attending safety meetings and training, reporting accidents promptly.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality and specifications.
