Job summary

Mill Creek Residential seeks a Service Manager to oversee maintenance for one or more communities. The role leads preventative maintenance, safety, and vendor management, while coordinating with the Community Manager on staffing and budget execution.

The ideal candidate has HVAC certification and 5+ years in maintenance, preferably in multi‑family housing, with strong leadership and communication skills to drive top performance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• HVAC Certification is required.
• 5+ years maintenance technician experience.
• CAMT or CPO certifications preferred.
• Experience in multi-family housing is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspect community grounds and buildings to ensure safety standards and identify maintenance projects.
• Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts for common issues and emergencies.
• Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools.
• Oversee work of internal and external vendors and maintenance service providers.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and/or Community Manager in hiring, training, daily supervision, evaluation, and counseling of the service team.
• Assist in creating schedules for Service Technicians, Housekeepers, Porters, and Groundskeepers.
• Work with the Community Manager to develop, implement, and manage programs to control maintenance expenses.
