Job summary

Hunt Military Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to assist the Maintenance/Community Director in keeping the property safe, attractive, and comfortable. You’ll drive preventive maintenance programs, supervise a maintenance team, and manage budgets while ensuring units and facilities stay in good order.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, inspections, and coordinating make-ready of vacant units, with emphasis on safety, compliance, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of building maintenance experience in trades.
• 1-3 years of staff supervisory experience required.
• Experience with Yardi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises maintenance technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Manage financial performance and maintain the approved maintenance budget.
• Schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate subordinate maintenance personnel.
• Prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion.
• Meet property goals for work order response and completion times.
• Establish emergency on-call procedures.
• Oversee all company-owned equipment and small tools.
• Participate in make-ready of vacant units and routine inspections.
• Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance procedures.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and procure parts and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety rules.
• Assist in annual/semi-annual unit inspections and overall maintenance activities.
