Job summary

Hunt Military Communities seeks a Maintenance Director to steward the physical condition of assets, ensuring safety, attractiveness, and comfort while driving financial operation and maintenance metrics for the property. The role involves preventive maintenance programs, inspections, vendor coordination, and supervision of maintenance staff across a 950+ unit community.

You will lead make-ready of vacated units, manage purchase orders and service contracts, and enforce company safety rules.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of building maintenance experience.
• Experience managing others preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff recruitment, hiring, training, coaching and evaluation up to termination.
• Oversee financial performance and operating within budget.
• Coordinate vendor communications, scheduling, billing and insurance certifications.
• Schedule, train, supervise and evaluate maintenance personnel.
• Ensure timely completion of work orders and adherence to safety policies.
• Approve purchase orders and manage inventory to meet service standards.
• Establish emergency on-call procedures and property inspections.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, make-ready of vacated units, and safety compliance.
• Lead resident service support and safety communications.
• Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
