Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee and perform mechanical work ensuring the community’s buildings, grounds, and amenities meet Greystar standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will diagnose resident service requests, manage make-ready processes for vacant units, supervise contractors, and support budgeting for repairs and capital projects. The role demands hands-on maintenance skills and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
• Experience in property management maintenance.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, user-moved aids, mechanical equipment and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts, respond courteously to questions and requests, and stay calm when addressing and resolving customer problems.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and communicating effectively to represent company management and support internal/external contacts.

Responsabilités

• Assists and completes work orders generated from resident requests for service and routine upkeep by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Oversees and completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and obtaining supplies.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, amenities, exteriors, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspects work performed by service team members to assess effectiveness and implement corrective actions.
• Inspects work by contractors and vendors to verify quality, scope, and specifications.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and coordinates with Community Manager to order supplies within budget.
