Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to uphold building systems and ensure the property meets standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will handle resident work orders, perform preventative maintenance, and assist in make-ready preparations for new move-ins.

Responsibilities include inventory management, documentation, and maintaining common areas. A valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerant certifications are required, with additional local certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1/II or Universal) required for technicians.
• State and local jurisdiction certifications as required for service techs.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policy and code.
• Completes make-ready process to prepare vacant homes, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and coordinating supplies.
• Manages materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Documents service requests promptly and accurately for tracking and follow-up.
• Maintains grounds and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs/signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-saving by fixing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using tools appropriately.
