Essex-Property-Trust in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Porter to maintain grounds, curb appeal, clubhouse, and amenities across one or more properties, ensuring a quality living environment for residents.

You will handle exterior cleaning, waste removal, stocking supplies, assist with bulk trash, and assist residents. This role requires a valid driver's license, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift heavy items; five-day onsite workweek.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of exterior areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and fitness centers.
• Stock supplies (toilet paper, soap, towels) and clean windows/doors.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Assist with bulk trash removal and recycling procedures.
• Interact with residents professionally and assist as needed.
• Perform seasonal tasks like snow/ice removal and leaf blowing.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
