OverviewThe Property Director will be the main conduit for guest facing services delivered by Cruz Bay Watersports. The scope of responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to, managing retail and beach staff, managing Sail Academy, managing CBW Concierge Services, communication with Destination Club Concierge, communication with Hotel Executive Staff, communication with Catering, assisting with retail inventory, assisting with payroll and scheduling, assisting with staff training.Schedule and ReportingThe Property Director reports to the CBW Management Team.SupervisesMOD’sHotel Concierge StaffWatersports StaffSailing StaffDescription of DutiesManaging Watersports StaffOrganize and supervise daily operationsSupervise safety aspects of all watersports policy and proceduresAssist with creating standard processes for delivering watersportsAssign and delegate daily tasks to watersports staffApprove staff schedulesOversees boat provisioningAssign staff member to Destination Club Members ReceptionEnsure all CBW employee policies are being followedSupervise maintenance and upkeep of watersports equipmentMake recommendations for equipment replacementCreate a team environmentChallenge and motivate staff to achieve sales, superior guest service and promote CBWManagement and oversight of Sail AcademyManaging Cruz Bay Watersports Concierge StaffOrganize and supervise daily operationsEnsure team members are well versed in CBW trips and offeringsEnsure team members are well versed in additional aspects of the islandsTrain team members to deliver a high level of service to guestsBuild team members rapport with Ritz teamsManages all systems: (Fareharbor, Schedulefly, Slack, Shopify)Train team members on FareharborCommunication with Ritz Carlton Concierge StaffDaily brief of upcoming trips, cancellations, CBW business and announcementsReview and provide information regarding Fareharbor and processesGuest resolution related to CBW trips, billing and retail room chargesRequest monthly occupancy from Operations Managers on each propertyForward critical communications regarding guest or property information to Management TeamAttend Hotel Operations meetings as requestedCommunication with CateringMonitor and submit daily trip counts to ChefTrack and record trip counts to be submitted for billingProblem solve immediate issues with incorrect food ordersCommunicate with Chef on updates to menu optionsPrepare monthly catering forecast for CBW TripsRetail InventorySupervise and train staff on inventory policies for tracking, reporting and billingAssist with inventory counts as requested by FinanceCommunicate inventory needs to appropriate CBW staff membersResponsible for reconciling and maintaining Medicine Chest at ConciergePayroll and SchedulingManage and report days worked, daily commission sheets, Ritz trip crew tipsSummarize monthly requests for time off and assist with creating schedulesAdjust schedule for call outs, emergency time off and reducing staff as neededStaff TrainingResponsible for obtaining and submitting Employee Paperwork to Director of WatersportsResponsible for Day 1-3 Staff Introduction and TrainingResponsible for delegating training portions to supporting team membersPromoting and coordinating Brand Training with Human ResourcesAssist with completion of Dinghy Training and record keeping of evolutionsPromote weekly/monthly staff training in all aspects of the Watersports Center, Sales, watersports and safetyEncourage upward mobility within Cruz Bay Watersports for staff members seeking additional opportunitiesMinimum Qualifications:Two (2) year degree from an accredited university in Hotel, Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration and/or related major OR least six (6) years of experience in the fieldTwo (2) years of Supervisory experiencePrevious experience in customer service and/or equivalent work experience PLUSKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be able to walk on various types of surfaces including rough terrain, sitting, standing, maintaining balance, on the beach, in the water, and working alone.Must be able to work various work settings such as exposure to sunlight and outside temperature.Must be able to lift 50lbs.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all persons contacted during the work.Ability to read, interpret, and apply regulations and safe practices.Ability to operate assigned equipment, read and interpret documents.Ability to multi-task.Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.Must be able to operate with little or no supervision.Must be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends.Must have strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
