Job summary

U-Haul, a leading mobility company, seeks a seasoned Property Damage Claims Supervisor to lead a team of claims professionals in Phoenix, AZ. This onsite role focuses on investigating and resolving auto liability claims with a commitment to coaching staff and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of supervisory claims experience, strong communication, and leadership abilities to drive performance and customer satisfaction on a compliant, efficient basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience handling and/or supervising auto liability claims.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Demonstrated customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Ability to obtain an Arizona Adjuster License within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, AZ , Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor adjusters on company policies, procedures, claim handling best practices, and effective desk management.
• Conduct daily claim file reviews to ensure compliance with established procedures and provide guidance on claim resolution strategies.
• Review and approve claim payments, settlements, and denial letters.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to ensure productivity, quality, and timeliness standards are met.
• Investigate and address customer complaints, identifying and implementing effective resolutions.
• Prepare written responses to formal complaints submitted through regulatory and consumer agencies, including the Department of Insurance and Better Business Bureau.
• Establish, communicate, and monitor performance expectations through regular evaluations and management reporting.
• Analyze performance metrics and trends to identify development opportunities and improve team results.
• Review and approve employee timecards and attendance records.
