Job summary

USAA is seeking an experienced auto claims adjuster to manage complex auto claims from investigation to resolution in Phoenix, AZ. You will analyze policies, evidence, and damages to reach timely, well-supported decisions and settlements.

The role begins onsite for three months, then transitions to a flexible hybrid schedule with occasional on-call duties. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of auto claims experience, licensing readiness within 90 days, and familiarity with Guidewire ClaimCenter.

Qualifications

• Experience handling auto physical damage claims, including repair decisions and settlements.
• 3 years of recent auto claims adjusting experience, including liability investigations.
• Active adjuster licensing in one or more states or the ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex auto claims from investigation through resolution, including multi-vehicle cases.
• Evaluate policy language, evidence, and damages to decide coverage and liability.
• Negotiate settlements within authority and document decisions clearly.
• Utilize Guidewire ClaimCenter and data tools to track and progress claims.
• Support catastrophe events and on-call duties as required.
• Communicate with members professionally to explain decisions and next steps.
