Job summary

Our client, a leading international law firm, seeks a Property Coverage Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice in a fully remote capacity. The role involves sophisticated property insurance matters, policy analysis, and dispute resolution.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 3–8 years of substantive insurance coverage experience, and a proven ability to manage complex matters with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
• 3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation
• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and highly confidential matters
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings, and mediations, preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions and provide strategic recommendations
• Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation
