Job summary

Pernini Legal LLC seeks a Property Coverage Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will handle sophisticated property insurance matters, conduct thorough policy analysis, and support litigation and dispute resolution with strong researching and drafting abilities.

Requirements include a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 3–8 years of insurance coverage experience, and proficiency in Westlaw.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
• 3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation
• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting, with demonstrated analytical rigor
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide strategic recommendations to clients
• Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation
