Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Property Coverage Attorney for a leading international law firm. This fully remote role focuses on property insurance coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and dispute resolution for high-profile clients, with SF preference and occasional on-site options.

The ideal candidate will have a JD from a top-tier school, active bar admission, 3–8 years of insurance experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage confidential matters

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters.
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation.
• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting, with analytical rigor.
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and highly confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with colleagues and clients.
• Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings, and mediations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations.
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation.
