JobFormance LLC is seeking a Property Coverage Attorney for its Insurance Coverage practice group. The position offers fully remote work with preference for San Francisco but locations listed as additional options.

The candidate will handle sophisticated property insurance matters, perform policy analysis, and engage in litigation and dispute resolution. Strong research and drafting skills, and prior litigation experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters.
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation.
• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting, with demonstrated analytical rigor.
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and highly confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings, and mediations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations.
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation.
