Leading International Law Firm in San Francisco is seeking a Property Coverage Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice. The role focuses on sophisticated property insurance matters, including coverage analysis, disputes, and litigation for high-profile clients.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 3–8 years of experience in insurance coverage, and strong research, writing, and drafting skills. Hybrid work arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
• 3-8 years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation
• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting, with demonstrated analytical rigor
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and highly confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
• Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings, and mediations, preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide strategic recommendations to clients
• Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation
