Job summary

Our client, a leading international law firm, seeks a skilled Property Coverage Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice in Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Francisco. You will handle sophisticated property insurance matters, including policy analysis, claims evaluation, and dispute resolution, with a focus on research, drafting, and strategic advice.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
• 3+ years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation
• Strong background in legal research, writing, and drafting
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with colleagues and clients
• Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings, and mediations

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide strategic recommendations to clients
• Prepare correspondence and communications for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation
