Job summary

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice Group in Los Angeles. This hybrid role handles high-value coverage litigation for domestic and international insurers, including CGL, property, and E&O matters.

Requirements: JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic record; active California Bar in good standing; 3+ years of civil litigation experience; strong research, writing, and drafting

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active California Bar Admission in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive Civil litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Strong drafting skills (pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery).
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions, recommendations, and advice for insurer clients.
• Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
• Draft and review pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
• Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency.
