RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Property Coverage Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice in Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Francisco. The role focuses on sophisticated property insurance matters, including policy analysis, claims evaluation, and complex litigation.

The ideal candidate has a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, and 3+ years in insurance coverage, with strong research, writing, and drafting skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3+ years of substantive experience in insurance coverage matters.
• Experience handling property insurance coverage issues, including policy analysis and claims evaluation.
• Strong background in legal research, writing and drafting.
• Experience preparing coverage opinions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive and highly confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
• Prior litigation experience, including depositions, hearings and mediations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Prepare correspondence for clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Review and analyze documents in connection with coverage disputes and litigation.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms such as Westlaw.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, pleadings, and dispositive motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings and mediations.
• Advocate for clients in dispute resolution proceedings and support case strategy through all phases of litigation.
