The role requires 1–3 years of claims handling experience, with 4–6 years preferred, and may involve interactions with members, insureds, and other stakeholders. A valid Driver's License is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years prior claims handling experience required.
• 4-6 years property claims handling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of claims administration best practices.
• Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record.
• An insurance/claims adjuster license may be required in specific states.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone investigations to determine coverage and damages.
• Communicate and interact with insureds, claimants, vendors and witnesses.
• Evaluate, assess, decide, and negotiate within settlement authority to resolve first-party claims.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• May attend and participate in legal proceedings.
• Respond quickly to insured needs and problems.
