Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises in Missouri seeks a claims professional to conduct phone investigations, determine coverage and damages, and obtain statements from insureds, vendors, and witnesses.

You will explain policy coverages and the claims process, negotiate within settlement authority, and coordinate with internal and external teams. Travel may be required, and court appearances possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree equivalent or combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of prior claims handling experience.
• 4–6 years preferred in property claims handling.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite and claims software.
• Valid Driver's License and vehicle history; state license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phone investigations to determine coverage and damages.
• Obtain statements from insureds, vendors, and witnesses.
• Explain policy coverages, benefits, and claims process verbally or in writing.
• Evaluate coverage issues and negotiate within settlement authority.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• May attend and participate in legal proceedings.
• Respond quickly to insured needs and problems.
