Job summary

Assurant, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Property Claims Manager to lead a team of property claims adjusters focused on homeowners and condo claims.

You will coach, develop, and empower managers and staff, guiding coverage interpretation, estimating, and customer communication while shaping training programs. You will use performance data to drive coaching, navigate evolving claims tools and processes, and partner with claims leaders to improve training and outcomes.

Qualifications

• P&C Adjuster's License
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of property claims experience
• 2+ years of people management/leadership experience
• Strong homeowners property claims knowledge, including coverage interpretation
• Experience using Xactimate to review or write property or contents estimates
• Experience with XactContents, ClaimXperience, Guidewire Live Boards, or similar claims tools
• Experience contributing to or delivering formal training programs for claims adjusters
• Ability to lead through change while keeping teams engaged, accountable, and customer-focused

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of property claims adjusters.
• Coach on homeowners and condo coverage, estimate writing, claim quality, and customer communication.
• Support sound coverage decisions and review escalated or complex claim matters.
• Use performance and quality data to identify trends and coaching opportunities.
• Help build and deliver structured training that strengthens adjusters’ technical skills, contributing your expertise as we stand up new training programs.
• Help the team successfully navigate new tools, workflows, and business priorities.
• Partner with claims leaders and other teams to improve training, processes, and customer outcomes.
