Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Manager, Claims - Field Property to lead a claims unit across a geographic area. You will review, adjust and pay property damage claims while driving customer satisfaction and cost objectives.

Strong leadership and coaching are essential as you build a high-performing team. This role requires extensive claims experience, supervisory skills and the ability to collaborate with HR and claims leadership on workforce planning.

Qualifications

• Eight years of related experience in claims settlement, handling or management.
• Supervisory, training and/or claims consulting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of claims files handling, investigation and settlement processes.
• Excellent customer focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a claims unit within a geographic area.
• Review, adjust and pay property damage claims.
• Manage customer satisfaction, expense control, and loss cost objectives.
• Lead local recruiting and partner with HR and claims leadership on workforce planning.
• Support claims performance improvement and cross-functional coordination.
• Monitor unit performance objectives.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to Nationwide customers.
• Resolve customer complaints using Best Practices.
• Report to the Claims Director.
