Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of property claims adjusting experience of moderate complexity.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools.
• Proficient knowledge of residential construction.
• Proficient knowledge of property claims contracts and state laws and regulations.
• Proficient negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manages a claims caseload with complex damages and liability.
• Partners with vendors and internal business partners to resolve claims; may involve regulatory coordination.
• Investigates damages by researching from insured, third parties, and external sources.
• Identifies subrogation potential in unusual cases.
• Reviews coverage, loss history, and refers to Special Investigation Unit when appropriate.
• Negotiates settlements within authority and advises on higher settlements.
• Maintains thorough claim file documentation throughout the process.
• Utilizes estimating technology and virtual inspection tools for claims estimates.
• Supports CAT response and may require on-call, evening, weekend, or holiday work.
• May travel for inspections or training.
