Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of property claims adjusting experience of moderate complexity.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate.
• Proficient knowledge of residential construction.
• Proficient knowledge of property claims contracts and state laws and regulations.
• Proficient negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to travel 50–75% of the year and/or work catastrophe duty.
• Licensing: acquire and maintain adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manages assigned claims caseload with complex damages and coverage.
• Collaborates with vendors and internal partners to resolve complex claims.
• Conducts investigations using multiple sources including insured, third parties, and external resources.
• Identifies coverage concerns and reviews loss history to refer to SIU when appropriate.
• Determines coverage through analysis of complex policy terms and contingencies.
• Negotiate settlements within authority; escalate beyond limits as needed.
• Maintain thorough, current claim file documentation throughout the process.
• Utilize estimating platforms and virtual tools to prepare claims estimates.
