Responsibilities

• Conduct phone investigations to determine coverage and damages; obtain statements from insureds, vendors, and witnesses.
• Explain policy coverage, benefits, and claims process to insureds and claimants in writing or verbally.
• Evaluate, decide, and negotiate within settlement authority to resolve first-party claims.
• Coordinate with internal and external departments as required.
• May attend and participate in legal proceedings.
• Respond quickly to insureds’ needs and problems.
