Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises seeks a Claims Complex Property Adjuster to manage high-complexity homeowner claims and drive resolution in compliance with state and federal laws. You will interpret loss reports, investigate, evaluate coverage and damages, and apply best practices in claims handling.

The role requires strong leadership, advanced communication skills, and experience in negotiations within authority limits across markets. Travel is occasional, with extensive collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level education or equivalent experience in claims or insurance.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance, coverage investigation, scope and damage assessment, negligence and subrogation.
• Strong leadership, organization and planning abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• License or certification for claims administration in specific states may be required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and obtain statements from insureds, claimants and witnesses, and assess coverage and damages.
• Explain policy coverages and claims process in writing or verbally per regulations.
• Negotiate within settlement authority to resolve first-party claims across markets.
• Mentor and train less experienced Claims staff and support development guidelines.
• May participate in investigations or provide sworn testimony in legal settings.
