Position Summary
Handles property claims independently within designated authority, servicing assigned territory, and may handle litigated claims.
- This is a remote, work-from-home position in Virginia.
- Ideal candidates reside in Fairfax County or nearby.
- Level offered depends on experience; Property Adjuster II considered.
- Company car and home office equipment provided.
- Requires good time management, organization, and ability to travel within territory.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contact policyholders, investigate claims, inspect damage, and prepare estimates.
- Handle claims within authority, set reserves, evaluate coverage, and determine payments.
- Document files, submit reports, identify subrogation, and service claims to conclusion.
- Interact with agents and manage litigated claims as needed.
- Develop estimating skills, attend training, and participate in catastrophe teams.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED + 2 years claims experience, or equivalent; or Bachelor's Degree.
- Must reside in the assigned territory unless approved otherwise.
- Willingness to serve on catastrophe duty, including travel on short notice.
Designations/Licenses
- Willing to pursue Technical Learning Center Training.
- Completion of AIC 33 and 35 preferred.
- Obtain and maintain necessary licenses.
- Valid driver’s license with a good record required.
Physical Requirements
- Use of PPE required.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs with equipment.
- Occasional climbing and accessing heights.
- Frequent driving and lifting/moving weights up to 50 lbs.
- Manual data entry and equipment movement required.
