Job summary

Southern States Cooperative, Creedmoor, NC, is seeking a full-time driver/technician to install, repair and maintain propane and/or oil burning systems and HVAC equipment for SSC customers. The role requires strong mechanical skills, adherence to codes, and hardware handling in field service.

Responsibilities include dispatch coordination, equipment calibration, reading blueprints, and customer-facing service. CDL with HazMat endorsed preferred; willing to obtain needed certifications.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Two+ years of experience with propane/oil HVAC installation/repair
• Propane and/or Propane Certification, or ability to obtain
• License requirements vary by location (state/federal)
• Hazardous Materials and/or Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain propane and/or oil burning systems, HVAC units and appliances.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to perform installations and repairs.
• Advance scheduling and communicate with supervisors about service dispatch and job progress.
• Operate commercial vehicles per SSC policy and conduct routine vehicle maintenance.
• Provide professional customer service and explain usage and safety instructions.
• Possibly load/deliver propane and fuels and handle related equipment per SOPs.
• Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and parts inventory.
