Job summary

Hellers Gas INC is seeking a Service Technician to perform installation, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work on propane tanks, supply systems, and gas-powered appliances in the field. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, safe handling of propane equipment, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

The position includes transporting propane tanks, performing inspections and leak tests, and coordinating with customers and service branches.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Relevant experience preferred in service.
• Familiarity with computers or mobile devices used in service.
• Valid Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Installation and removal of propane tanks and gas-powered appliances.
• Installation and maintenance of gas piping systems including underground and interior lines.
• Diagnostic, maintenance and repair work related to propane tanks and gas systems.
• Performs inspections and leak tests of supply systems and equipment.
• Prepares work orders, invoices and other documentation per standards.
• Liaises with customers and service branches to address questions or concerns.
