Job summary

Heller's Gas is seeking a Service Technician Assistant to perform installation, removal, maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work on propane tanks, supply systems, and gas-powered appliances. The role involves transporting propane tanks and related equipment and requires the ability to follow written and oral directions from a service technician.

The position is full-time, outdoors, with regular hours Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Relevant experience preferred in propane/tank service or related field.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Installation and removal of propane tanks and gas-powered appliances.
• Installation and maintenance of gas piping systems including underground lines, above ground lines, interior piping, and related equipment.
• Diagnostic, maintenance and repair work related to propane tanks, supply systems and gas-powered appliances.
• Inspections and leak tests of supply systems and equipment.
• Maintains, repairs, and refurbishes company-owned equipment.
