Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a Promotions Coordinator to plan and execute casino promotions and events. You will manage budgets, coordinate with hotel departments and ensure decor, collateral and staffing align with promotional objectives.

The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to monitor expenditures against budgets and to act as a host or master of ceremonies when needed, at onsite venues and events.

Qualifications

• Adheres to Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe/departmental policies.
• Assists in formulating promotion theme, format and budget specifications.
• Executes events and promotions inside casino hotel and at off-site events.
• Ensures promo and event areas have supplies, decorations and secure items after events.
• Ensures collateral materials for promotions are ordered, received and displayed.
• Establishes reports to monitor actual expenses vs budget and takes corrective action.
• Assists management in disseminating event information to impacted departments.
• Assists in building drawings in Casino Marketplace and slot tournaments in IGT system.
• Interfaces with operating departments to coordinate events timely.
• Executes budgets for promotions and records expenditures and variances.
• Maintains security and confidentiality of files and lists.
• Acts as master of ceremonies as needed.
• Coordinates decor requirements for promotions and bids.
• Communicates event information to departments to ensure coordination.
• Determines staffing needs and schedules for promotions with on-call staff.
• Works with management to raise public awareness of events and promotions.
• Develops department knowledge via education, coaching and training.
