Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a banquet team member to maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms and related spaces. You will assist servers, transport equipment, and ensure A/V readiness while upholding safety standards.

The role requires high-volume hospitality experience, excellent communication, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays in a casino hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in banquets at a high-volume upscale hotel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Create atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock for gaming and events.
• Meet and greet guests warmly.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms per event orders and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
• Assemble and arrange conference equipment as required.
• Open rooms adjusting lights, sound, and temperature for events.
• Maintain proper use and storage of A/V and meeting room equipment.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness across event spaces and Back of House areas.
• Report issues to management and assist guests as needed.
• Take/serve orders and provide menu recommendations.
