Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking a friendly cashier for our restaurant team. You will accurately handle transactions, process sales and payments, and assist guests with inquiries and phone orders. Maintain a clean, welcoming environment while promoting on-site outlets and events.

Applicants should have on-the-job cashier experience or related roles, be 21 or older, and able to pass background and drug screenings, with the ability to work various shifts.

Qualifications

• Two months of on-the-job training or related cashier/host experience.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Handle restaurant financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Provide courteous service to all restaurant guests and answer questions.
• Maintain clean and organized dining area and cashier stand.
• Process sales, payments, and make change per procedures.
• Answer restaurant phone and take phone orders as needed.
• Promote property outlets and events to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints using property procedures.
• Protect confidentiality of guest and company information.
• Work as a team and communicate with staff and supervisors.
• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
