Job summary

The project timekeeper will perform timekeeping and craft payroll activities for the Thacker Pass project in Nevada. The role requires confidentiality, a professional demeanor, and a strong customer-service orientation with deadlines in mind.

Overtime and weekend work are common, with occasional travel to other offices as needed. The position is located at the Thacker Pass/Winnemucca jobsite in Nevada and may require travel to Houston or other offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related (or international equivalent) and 1-2 years of timekeeping/payroll experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends/holidays.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service background and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Labor Relations to input payroll information for craft professionals.
• Enter new hires, terminations, rate and classification changes in systems.
• Onboard project new hires and badging for site personnel.
• Verify daily craft attendance using the eTrack system.
• Balance and export daily time records for craft employees.
• Maintain replacement badging and time clock systems.
• Create and distribute daily/weekly reports (force reports, infractions, timesheets).
• Distribute weekly payroll checks/direct deposits.
• Process time off requests and daily call-ins for craft employees.
• Maintain craft employee files and retention scanning.
• Maintain crew timesheets as directed by supervision.
• Gate watch for personnel at the project site and provide payroll-related service.
