Job summary

Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors, Inc. (MMC) is seeking a Project Workforce Coordinator to support our Construction group's payroll and labor management at Sullivan, IN or Cedar Rapids, IA.

You will own daily time collection, timecard entry into COINS, payroll coordination, and eligibility tracking for project-specific incentive pay and per diem. This role validates information for leadership approval, serves as the project point of contact with the Shared Services Payroll team, and helps

Qualifications

• 1 to 3+ years in admin/payroll supporting multiple teams/leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quick software learning.
• Flexible team player, adaptable to change and ambiguity.
• Demonstrates integrity and initiative with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collect daily time from field personnel; review for completeness; enter in COINS for approver.
• Verify entries for employee, date, job, cost code, phase, shift, hours, and designations.
• Maintain eligibility records based on incentive and travel agreements; track qualifications by employee.
• Ensure pay indicators (incentives, per diem, travel) are correctly denoted in timecards before approval.
• Serve as project point of contact for payroll coordination with Shared Services Payroll.
• Provide repeatable processes for field submissions, maintaining templates, logs, and escalation notes.
